Program
The proceedings of the 8th APRU Research Symposium comprise keynote lectures, a panel discussion, special presentations from invited speakers, and concurrent sessions. The final program is available online here (PDF 82kB, updated on Sep. 12).
Symposium topics will include hazard mechanisms, climate change, monitoring and sensing, warning procedures, damage estimation, disaster response and management, social vulnerability, disaster medicine and public health preparedness, economics of disasters, disaster law and policy, post disaster recovery and reconstruction, urban planning and disaster historiography, and other related topics on natural disaster mitigation.
